Duration:
The duration of the programme is two years (8 quarters)

Admission requirements:
The program M.Sc. in Environmental and Resource Management is designed to graduates from a wide range of backgrounds, including planning, economics, geography, natural science, biology, earth science, technology and engineering. Students are expected to be able to work with social science as well as technology and natural science. Depending on their level of expertise in these areas, some students may be required to complete supplementary courses.

A bachelor of science in environmental planning and management or a similar background.
For EU/EEA-students A level in English from secondary school is required.

If your bachelor degree was taken outside the European Union, Scandinavia, Switzerland, USA, Canada, Australia or New Zealand a TOEFL or IELTS test is required.

TOEFL test with at min. score of 575 paper based, 230 computer based or 88 interned based.
The test must be sent directly from the test centre to the University of Southern Denmark.

IELTS with at min. score of 6.5. The University of Southern Denmark has access to the IELTS Verification Service, therefore we accept the IELTS test results in copy.

Study programme:
M.Sc. in Environmental and Resource Management requires two years of full time study. The curriculum is built up upon a quarter structure, which means that new courses begin four times a year. The entire programme is therefore 8 quarters in all and each quarter constitutes15 ECTS.

All compulsory courses are taking place at the first 4 quarters (the first year) constituting 60 ECTS in all. At the 5th and 6th quarters you will be able to take combinations of elective courses, internship and studies abroad, constituting 30 ECTS, while the 7th and 8th quarters are intended for writing the master thesis also constituting 30 ECTS.
